Palyouth The most prominent of what came in the statement of Dimitri Diliani, a member of the Revolutionary Council and spokesman for the reformist and democratic movement in Fatah:

Diliani expressed deep concern about the passage of appropriations bills in the U.S. Congress that include significant funding for the military occupation of Israel. We firmly assert that allocating these funds constitutes a violation of principles of justice, international law, and lasting peace in the Middle East.

Diliani pointed out that directing these allocations, which seemingly amount to a substantial $3.3 billion in security assistance to Israel but are deeply intertwined with support for military occupation, raises profound questions about the United States' responsibility in perpetuating the troubling situation characterized by the expansion of illegal settlements and continuous violations of internationally recognized human rights and national rights of the Palestinian people.

Diliani, in clarifying the impact of this funding, stated, "It is concerning that the United States continues to provide consistent financial support to a government condemned for war crimes, regardless of its government's policies that contradict democratic principles, justice, and human rights. This support not only rewards the extreme right-wing government of Israel but also encourages the continuation of the oppressive situation."

Diliani noted that this financial support constitutes an endorsement of the policies of right-wing Israeli governments, which have subjected the Palestinian people to suffering for decades. Moreover, it overlooks the numerous war crimes committed against Palestinians daily, including home demolitions, the expansion of illegal settlements, and the denial of basic rights to Palestinians in the occupied territories, all in violation of agreements previously signed under the auspices of the United States and the international community.

Directing funds towards Israeli missile cooperation and anti-tunnel measures contributes to the ongoing arms race in the region rather than fostering an environment conducive to dialogue and peaceful negotiation.

Diliani strongly emphasizes the importance of this issue, stating, "We call on the U.S. government to reconsider its approach and focus on achieving a just and lasting solution in the Middle East, respecting international law and the rights of the Palestinian people."
