"The Palestinian Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Authority holds the Israeli occupation's prisons administration fully responsible for the life of the Palestinian prisoner Hassan Jeradat, who continues his open hunger strike for the third consecutive day.
The lawyer of the authority, Anan Khader, who visited the Palestinian prisoner on Friday, reported that the Palestinian prisoner Jeradat, held in the 'Hawara Detention Center,' could suffer a health setback at any time. He is afflicted with chronic conditions such as high blood sugar and cholesterol, as well as kidney stones, requiring daily medication. Until this moment, he has not been examined by a specialist doctor nor provided with the necessary treatment.
Ten Palestinian prisoners have been engaging in an open hunger strike for varying periods. In addition to Palestinian prisoner Jeradat, they include Sultan Khalouf and Kayed Al-Fasfous. Alongside them are Palestinian detainees Osama Dakrouq, Mohammad Taysir Zakarna, Anas Ahmed Kamel, Abdulrahman Iyad Baraka, Zahdi Talal Obeido, Saif al-Din Dhiaab al-Amareen, and Hatem al-Qawasmi. All of them are on strike in protest against their administrative detention."
